Meeting of Rector Gajanin with a delegation from Singapore

The Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Dr. Radoslav Gajanin, met on June 23, 2025, with the Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Singapore, Daniel Che, and the CEO of The GrowHub Limited, Lester Chan.

The topic of the conversation was the establishment of cooperation between the University of Banja Luka and the company The GrowHub Limited , whose solutions are based on the application of blockchain technology in various industries, with a special focus on monitoring food production and distribution, as well as the carbon credits system .

The interlocutors agreed that there is significant potential for joint projects. The potential cooperation would make the University of Banja Luka the first partner of The GrowHub Limited from Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the areas in which the company operates.

Within the framework of this cooperation, teachers and associates of the University would address topics such as the application of blockchain technology in the food supply chain, improving product traceability, modeling and data analysis to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the development of a system for monitoring and exchanging carbon credits. Special attention will be paid to improving mechanisms based on blockchain technology for the purpose of transparency and sustainability. This cooperation also opens up opportunities for professional development, knowledge exchange and networking with international scientific institutions and researchers.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Representation of the Republika Srpska in Brussels, Mario Đuragić, as well as Prof. Dr. Miroslav Malinović.

The University of Banja Luka continues to develop international cooperation networks with the aim of strengthening scientific research capacities and applying science for the benefit of sustainable development and the well-being of society.
