Innovation Centre Manager

The GrowHub Innovation Centre is the node for innovation within the Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia (FIPWA) located in Peel Business Park.

As a landing pad for businesses and entrepreneurs, GrowHub Innovation Centre is the activity hub to create new business collaborations, monetise products and services, ideate opportunities, and expand the network locally and internationally.

We are looking for an Innovation Centre Manager to fill a critical financial leadership role within the organization.  You are likely to be in your thirties looking to make an impact on the wider society and to carve out a niche of your own.

Job Responsibilities

Take ownership and pride in our physical workspace, driving improvements to suit our evolving needs. The Office Manager is responsible for general upkeep, cleanliness, and supply management of the office.  You will also be responsible for the looking at handling enquires and business development, and operations for the GrowHub Innovation Center. You are required to multitask and manage operations for the strategic expansion of the company, trading, and ensuring operations in the innovation centre run smoothly. Ad hoc tasks will require your attention, support, and management. 

• Reception, meeting and greeting visitors

• Office management and maintenance including mail sorting and distribution, booking couriers, maintaining an adequate supply of kitchen and stationery supply

• Work with F&B vendors within FIPWA to plan and coordinate events such as catered meetings, team building, special events etc.  This will include support for setting up equipment for virtual meetings with other locations

• Administrative support including safety and regulatory compliance, liaising with suppliers/cleaners/ FIPWA management, equipment maintenance, printing, etc

• Source & evaluate new vendors to help improve processes within the innovation centre

• Assist Accounting with timely transactional recording/reconciliation and payment of invoices

• Create and execute outreach efforts to accelerate market awareness of the various offering of the innovation centre.

You will be reporting to the group's chief operating officer based in Singapore. For daily operations, you will be working closely with the Australian country head.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in a similar role or as an office manager of a 20,000 sq feet office

• Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner

• Excellent time management and organisation skills

• Resourceful and highly motivated

• Able to manage multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail

• Entrepreneurial mindset and spirit: we win as a team, we move fast and we get things done.

• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, slides, calendaring and scheduling tools.

• Awareness of workplace well-being practices, helps drive diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging in a shared workspace.
