Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to fill a critical financial leadership role within the organization.  You are likely to be in your thirties looking to make an impact on the wider society and to carve out a niche of your own.

The Controller will oversee month end close as well as manage financial reporting, revenue recognition/analysis, KPI analysis, and oversee audits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to own and improve upon financial processes and make a difference/be a part of a fast growing company.

Job Responsibilities

• Finance lead to work with other professional parties to get the company ready for next funding round.  The Controller will need to maintain the books as if it were a public company 

• Support the decision making of the C-suite with in depth analytical and business performance insights to leadership team for decision-making 

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to provide timely and accurate capture of information and records according to the accounting standards

• Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and other corporate deadlines are met with the expected quality including proper revenue recognition, billing, cost accounting, AR, capital expenditures, etc.

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget, financial forecast, variance reporting and appraisal of results

• Develop, standardize and automate FP&A reports, metrics, and dashboards for monthly/quarterly management reporting

Requirements

• Finance leader and business partner who is able to lead and coach a team of professionals 

• Problem solver technically strong in accounting and has experience in system rollout; experience of US GAAP preferred

• Good understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements in Singapore (USA and Australia – advantage)

• Demonstrated ability to prepare a professional presentation with stakeholders; with targeted messages for each audience

• Good written and oral communication skills, including Q&A with a room of professionals

• Qualified accountant (CA or CPA) with a demonstrated record of 8 years with 3 years leading a team 

• Experience working across different cultures, open-minded  and able to toggle different perspectives
